Indian Govt not to file case against Geelani, Roy

Indian Government on Thursday decided not to file any case against hardline Kashmiri freedom Syed Ali Shah Geelani and famous Human activist Arundhati Roy for purportedly giving "speeches" at a seminar held in New Delhi last week. The decision was taken after considering that such a move would give unnecessary publicity to them and a handle to freedom fighters in the Kashmir Valley, officials in the Union Home Ministry said. "We have decided to ignore them,"
All that is due to "Azadi the only Way" convention, where
Geelani had shared the stage with writer Roy and pro-Maoist leader Vara Vara Rao among others. Geelani was heckled by the audience with one of them throwing a shoe at him.
